Activity with Forward
Woodland has worked with Forward for over 25 years, using the company for all of its freight forwarding documentation, invoicing, costing and quoting.
Keith Smaggasgale, Branch manager at Woodland Group comments:
“During Brexit it has been incredibly helpful to have Forward on board. With all the complicated new customs systems being introduced it was important to us to work with a software supplier which was aware of the changes and able to give us advise, guidance and support – Forward did just that.
“We use the Forward system across all areas of the business making it highly beneficial –mainly to support our freight forwarding but also for air freight. From the operating point of view it’s straight forward and has multiple uses. We also use the system for costing and billing for our warehouse.
“Forward have also been very flexible in that if we need any changes made to a system or we need it work slightly differently, they can accommodate our business needs. They are always willing to take on board our requests and implement the necessary requirements.
“We know working with Forward means we are staying ahead of the curve. They are continuously reviewing their systems and updating them based on new innovations and changes within the industry – by working with them we can trust that our system is competitive against the other large freight forwarders.
“We are so embedded in working with Forward, having used their system for decades, that it would take something quite significant for us to change to work with another freight management software business.”
