Scanlink Transport & Logistics AB, founded in 1986, is a Swedish based international freight forwarding company, managing co-ordinated transportations of the highest quality all over the world. Apart from regular sea, air, road and rail transports they specialise in vehicles and personal affects as well as in project cargo. Scanlink also offers all types of customs procedures, being one of few Swedish companies holding the highest level of AEO certification.
The business has a subsidiary, Interfreight Sweden AB, also a freight forwarder company with extensive experience that operates worldwide, arranging all types of transport solutions.
The combined turnover of these businesses is £5,7 million.
Scanlink has worked with Forward for the past six years. Forward created a system for the business comprising of six modules: road import and export, air import and export, sea import and export. Since then, Forward has added a seventh module covering domestic transport within Sweden – just one example of how Forward can adapt and enhance its programme for clients as and when required.
In addition, as Scanlink has a sister business, Forward designed the system to cater for the two separate companies whilst allowing them to still use one system. Parts of the system are now shared but divided into two separate units – another advantage of working with Forward.
Carin Westerkull, Office Manager at Scanlink believes it has been very beneficial for their business. She said:

“Overall, we are very happy with the system provided by Forward, mostly because of its reliability. The system just works and we don’t have any problems with using it at all – so for us it reduces any concerns and allows us to focus on our business and our customers.”
